Waldlehrpfad Langnau
Take an informative 1.5-hour walk through the shady forest and discover the beauty and secrets of the Schützengraben!
What is a coppice forest? Why is an anthill important? How many fly larvae live in the top 30 cm of forest soil? What is sycamore wood used for? What do foxes and cats have in common? What ability makes the nuthatch unique in Europe? How many beetles does a forest shrew eat per day? How old does a squirrel get? Which animal's teeth grow continuously?
Over 60 display boards answer these questions and provide insight into the life of trees, shrubs, and animals in the trenches, as well as how the forest can be managed and used – for the benefit of nature and human needs.
