Josef Jenni has been active in the solar energy sector with his company since the 1970s. Today, Jenni Energietechnik AG in Oberburg is a leading manufacturer of solar and heating storage systems. The "Swiss Solartank" energy storage system with storage capacities of up to 25 MWh is produced at this plant in Emmental.

During a guided tour (by appointment, Monday to Friday, duration approx. 2 hours), groups can visit the production building and the facilities. There is also an exhibition with vehicles and objects from the Tour de Sol era.
