Haflinger Center
The Haflinger Center is located in the heart of the beautiful Emmental valley at the foot of Trachselwald Castle. Almost 30 years ago, Peter Zimmermann founded the Haflinger Center as a horse farm. Gradually, the former farm was lovingly renovated and the event area expanded.
Events
The professional event courtyard can host events for 15-200 people. From cozy get-togethers on the carriage to enjoying delicious Emmental specialties freshly prepared on the farm to entertaining original Emmental games, there is something for everyone.
Guided tours
For those interested in culture, various guided tours are also offered, for example through the solar power plants in Oberburg, the Gotthelf Museum in Lützelflüh, or the farm's own event courtyard in Trachselwald.
Courses
The team at the Haflinger Center also offers riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders—for adults and young people aged 12 and over. Driving lessons on the coach box can also be taken.
Farm restaurant
The cozy farm restaurant with direct access to the terrace and garden can seat around 35 people. It is the ideal venue for small family celebrations or cozy get-togethers in small groups. Whether you fancy juicy grilled meats or warm ham with a wide selection of salads, or cheese fondue and fondue chinoise in winter, all dishes are freshly prepared and only Swiss meat from local producers is used.
Seminars and banquets
The cozy courtyard in Bernese farmhouse style has been continuously maintained and expanded. The rustic style has been retained on the outside, while inside you will find, for example, a permanently installed projector in the seminar room to cater for even the most demanding workshops. The converted and heated former hayloft offers space for large groups and is ideal as a weatherproof event space for your customer event, product presentation, wedding, or family celebration.
Arriving by train
Travel to Grünenmatt train station. From Grünenmatt train station, you can reach the Haflinger Center on foot in about 15 minutes (1.1 km).
Arriving by car or coach
The journey from Bern and Lucerne takes about 1 hour. There are plenty of parking spaces for cars and coaches in the immediate vicinity.
