Gasthof Löwen, Grosshöchstetten

This little haven of well-being in the Emmental offers a cozy restaurant and hosts various events.

Restaurant
- The dining room on the ground floor can seat approx. 40 guests.
- The Sämerei Stübli is available for a cozy, separate atmosphere. This small room can seat around 28 guests.
- The Löwen-Keller dates back to 1737. The current renovation has made it accessible from the outside again. Centuries-old sandstone steps lead down to the vaulted cellar, which is over 5 meters high and features a large fireplace and a small stage.- The terrace, furnished with matching tables and chairs, can seat around 25 people.

Cuisine 
"Fresh cuisine every day." The dishes change seasonally, so you can look forward to being surprised by new creations. The seasonal offerings are the guide for the menu. Inspiration is provided by Swiss and international cuisine.

Takeaway 
Takeaway and "food for home." Menus can be ordered in advance or directly on site, and the dishes are derived from the restaurant menu.

Events 
Every first Saturday of the month, there is a culinary highlight featuring Filipino cuisine. Mike Giger plans events in the vaulted cellar of the Löwen. "I want to create culture, a reading, a raclette or fondue party." The vaulted cellar is located two floors below the dining room.

History 
The Löwen inn building, dating from 1757, is a listed building and one of the most traditional buildings in the village. With great care and respect for the venerable building, much of the original materials have been preserved.
