Brätlistelle Sommerhaus, Burgdorf
Beautiful, well-maintained barbecue area near Burgdorf with grill, wooden table, and benches for the whole family.
In 2016, the Regio Burgdorf Orienteering Club teamed up with the Burgdorf section of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) to build a new barbecue area. A swiveling shell grill is mounted on a concrete base, next to which there is a beautiful wooden table and additional benches. There is more than enough firewood lying around in the forest. And the barbecue tools hanging on the side of the wooden table show the attention to detail that has gone into the design.
How to get there
By car: From Burgdorf, drive to the Sommerhaus restaurant, stay on the road and then turn right into the forest. There is a parking lot there. The last 5 minutes are on foot.
On foot: On a forest path above the Jakobsweg trail, which passes the Sommerhaus.
By public transport: Get off at the "Burgdorf Schützenhaus" or "Burgdorf Lorraine" bus stop, take the hiking trail to the Sommerhaus and from there it's about a 10-minute walk along the forest path.
