The Brandis barbecue area is located on the site where Brandis Castle once stood. Today, you can visit the Lützelflüh forest nature trail from this vantage point and learn about many interesting animals and plants. This trail takes about 1½ hours to complete.
The cozy barbecue area invites you to linger. The stools around the brick fire pits with grates are comfortable to sit on. After the climb, you can enjoy your time in the forest and let your mind wander. What was it like in the days of the Brandis lords? You can read a story from earlier times on a plaque and appreciate the advantages of the present day even more.

How to get there
On foot:
From the Lützelflüh community center, follow a side road to the ruins of Brandis Castle, approx. 20 minutes' walk.
By car:
Parking is available at the Rain car park, next to the primary school in Lützelflüh village.
By public transport:
Lützelflüh train station, through the village, over the Emmen bridge, to the community center (approx. 15 minutes), then another 20 minutes on foot.
