Brätlistelle Pleerwald-Siebenwegeplatz, Burgdorf
Spacious and beautiful barbecue area in the Pleerwald forest near Burgdorf.
In 2017, to mark the centenary of the international Lions Club, its members built a barbecue area in the Pleerwald forest – an impeccable example with a grill and picnic table. Right next to it is a bench with a fantastic view over the village of Rohrmoos to the Jura mountains. But that's not all: next door, right by Siebenwegeplatz, there is also an older barbecue area in use. It doesn't have a table, but there are plenty of seats around the fire.
How to get there
On foot: Follow the official hiking trails towards Oberburg, Krauchthal, Hindelbank, Burgdorf-Steinhof, and Rothöhe.
By public transport: Burgdorf-Steinhof train station, then 30 minutes on the hiking trail to Pleerwald.
By car: From Burgdorf towards Krauchthal, turn right onto the side road and continue to the Vitaparcours car park. From there, it's a 5-minute walk.
