Beautiful barbecue spot on the Emme. Combine summer swimming fun with barbecue enjoyment!

Those who were there will remember it for a long time to come: the 2013 Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Burgdorf. Around 300,000 visitors came to the festival grounds, and the arena, with over 52,000 seats, was the largest temporary stadium in the world. Today, a beautiful barbecue area has been set up on the banks of the Emme, right next to the former festival grounds. It has a grill, a table, and a firewood container. You can swim in the Emme, play in the forest, or reminisce about Matthias Sempach's championship title at the Swiss Wrestling Festival information board.

How to get there:
On foot: Along the Emme riverbank path Burgdorf-Kirchberg-Utzenstorf.
By public transport: 20 minutes from the "Burgdorf Fabrikweg" bus stop and 25 minutes from Burgdorf-Buchmatt train station.
By car: Park at the Localnet Arena (ice rink) in Burgdorf, walk across the wooden bridge and continue downstream for a few minutes.
