Brätlistelle Egg, Langnau
Barbecue area with sensational views of the Alps.
On the Egg, you can enjoy a wonderful view while barbecuing. You can see Beichle, Schrattenfluh, Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, Finsteraarhorn, Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. But it's not just the view that makes the barbecue area worth a visit. The wooden hut has half a dozen tables and benches that can easily be moved outside. The covered barbecue has three fire pits with grates. And behind the hut there is plenty of firewood that you are welcome to use. All this is thanks to the local association Gohl, which maintains this barbecue area on a voluntary basis.
Reservations
You can register on site. However, there is no guarantee that others will not be barbecuing at the same time as you.
How to get there
By car: In Langnau, drive up Fansrütistrasse, then follow the sign for "Rämis." Signposted parking lot 200 meters before the barbecue area. On foot: On the Langnau-Hochgrat-Kammern-Rämis-Lüderenalp hiking trail. By public transport: Bus stop "Gohl Mettlen," from there follow the hiking trail towards Lüderenalp for about 1 hour.
