Blasenfluh, Oberthal

A magnificent view towards the Napfbergland, Langnau, and Oberemmental.

Blasenfluh and surroundings
At 1118.4 meters above sea level, the Blasenflue, also known as Blasenfluh or Blaseflue, is the highest point in the Blasenflue hill country. It is located in the Blasenwald forest in the municipalities of Lauperswil, Signau, and Oberthal.
Until a few years ago, a "Blasenfluh-Chilbi" festival was held here every year. During the First World War, a wooden observation and viewing tower was built, which was later demolished. The base is still there. After a forestry team cleared the area to restore the view of the upper Emmental, the Emmenmatt local association erected a new safety fence, and last year the local associations of the three municipalities installed new – in some cases very original – benches.
