Zulligerhof, Madiswil

At the Zulligerhof farm, you will find all kinds of seasonal products fresh from the farm. They are 100% natural, chemical-free, and produced in accordance with the strict guidelines of IP-Suisse.

Flour, grains, and flakes
The Zulligers grow spelt, wheat (an old variety), and rye. These grains are stone-ground in the mill and processed into various types of flour.

Cheese and milk
The cows eat a lot of hay and grass and can graze all year round. The milk is processed on the farm. The unpasteurized milk is processed into a fine Mutschlikäse cheese, whose taste ranges from creamy mild to tangy, depending on how long it matures in the natural cellar.

Nomination for the 2022 agroPrize
The Zulliger family is part of Regiomarkt AG, Madiswil. Several farmers and a mill builder from Oberaargau have decided that they want to process grain in the "traditional" way again. With their mill, they are bringing added value back to the farms.

The village of Madiswil marks the transition from Emmental to Oberaargau. Thanks to its proximity to Langenthal, the village has grown steadily. One of the village's most striking buildings is the grain silo at the train station. It stands as a testament to the importance of agriculture in the region. There are 85 farms in the municipality, which has a population of 3,300. Most of them supply their products to processors and traders.
