With its charming restaurant «zur Gedult» the Zähringerstadt Burgdorf has one of the oldest inns in the lower old town. The year 1716 is carved into the relief of the stone lintel, bearing witness to the building's eventful past and its many different uses.In a cozy atmosphere with simple but tasteful décor, you can enjoy a multi-course menu that changes monthly, accompanied by a good glass of wine or selected non-alcoholic beverages. Chef Lukas Kiener, who has been awarded a Michelin star since February 2019 and currently has 17 Gault&Millau points, will surprise you with classic, modern dishes and sophisticated compositions. He uses seasonal products and ingredients from the region and attaches great importance to perfect presentation.

The wine list features wines from Switzerland and the neighboring countries of Italy, France, Austria, and Germany. The Gedult team knows the origins of the wines and has visited most of the regions from which they come. The selection of bottled wines by the glass changes every month.
