Lüderenalp, Wasen i.E

Lüderenalp Lüderenalp is a peaceful spot high above the Emmental valley at 1,141 meters above sea level, on the border between the municipalities of Sumiswald and Langnau. In 1890, a health resort was built here, specializing in whey cures and tuberculosis patients. After a fire in 1961, a new building was constructed and the health resort became a popular hotel and restaurant for vacations and group events.
How to get there
- Lüderenalp is located on the small, winding road from Langnau through the Gohlgraben up to Lüderenalp and down the north side to Wasen im Emmental and Sumiswald.
- From June to October, a hiking bus runs four times a day on Saturdays and Sundays from Wasen and Langnau to Lüderenalp.
- From Lüderenalp, a wonderful hike leads high above the hills and forests of the Emmental on narrow paths, mostly along the ridge eastwards to Napf, another popular destination.
- Cycle along the 40 km long "Lüderen Rundi."
Activities
The Lüderen Chilbi, which takes place at the beginning of August, is widely known. There is singing and dancing, alphorn blowing and flag waving. First and foremost, however, Lüderenalp is a day trip destination for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, and car tourists.
Playground and barbecue area
In addition to the restaurant, Lüderenalp also has a barbecue area with a children's playground and bocce court.

Enjoy a picnic at the Lüderenalp barbecue area or Bernese specialties and the tranquility of nature on the large terrace of the Bärnsicht restaurant.
