Learn how master cheesemakers transform high-quality raw milk into the world's most famous cheese. The highlight is a tasting of the original Emmentaler AOP. Stay overnight in a barrel house
With a magnificent view of the wild and romantic Emmental, surrounded by lush meadows, grazing cows, and plenty of time for yourself, this is the ideal place to stay overnight.

A passion for cooking and the joy of eating and drinking have always been deeply rooted in the Emmental. Emmental cuisine thrives on fresh and traditional products from the region. That's why the restaurant at the Emmental show dairy prefers to use Emmental products – preferably fresh from the neighbors.
Cheese shop
A large cheese counter with various Emmentaler AOP maturity levels. Other fine Swiss cheeses complete the range. Many other regional products are also available. Group offers Make your own cream cheese Under the expert guidance of our cheesemakers, your group will make 5 kg of cream cheese. The process offers groups the full cheese-making program in one hour. Practical: you will learn the entire cheese-making process in a short space of time. Making your own Stöckli cheese In the Stöckli, which dates back to 1741, you will make your own cheese from 200 liters of fresh raw milk together with a cheesemaker. Processed with your own hands, the result is two 8 kg wheels of delicious Stöckli cheese. The best comes last: after four months of care and attention from our cellar masters, we will send your personally made cheese directly to your home.
Guided tour
Accompanied by a group guide, you will visit the Küherstöckli, built in 1741, and the Feuerwagenkäserei, built in 1900, before setting off on the Königsweg trail. At the end, you can enjoy a cheese tasting with different degrees of maturity of Emmentaler AOP.
