A romantic idyll in the Emmental hills. Enjoy a break alone or with your partner in a barrel cabin. A generous regional breakfast basket awaits you in the morning. Ober Mörisegg is the ideal starting point for hikes or bike tours in the hilly Emmental.
Facilities
You sleep in a queen-size bed (2 adults), children can sleep on the benches (only 130 cm long!). Bed linen and towels are provided, but sleeping bags must be brought for children. The cozy living area offers a pull-out table top with two benches along the wall, storage space under the bed and benches, electricity (1 lamp, 1 power outlet, 1 small electric oven for heating if it gets cold), camping equipment (a camping stove with 2 hotplates, camping dishes, a small kettle grill, and 2 tables and chairs), a toilet with sink, and a simple shower with separate entrance on the farm, a refrigerator with freezer compartment, and a cozy seating area with fireplace and wood for barbecuing.
Breakfast
On request, the host family will provide a generous, regional organic breakfast in a basket for you to prepare yourself. Breakfast costs CHF 20 for adults and CHF 10 for children aged 6-10, free for children under 6. Cash payment on site.
Prices
1-2 adults CHF 130/night Children accompanied by an adult (up to 10 years) CHF 10/night Young people accompanied by an adult (up to 15 years) CHF 20/night. The price includes bed linen and towels for 2 people and final cleaning. The offer becomes cheaper with each additional night: 2 nights from CHF 120/night, 3 nights from CHF 110/night.
Various information
Mobile phone reception is also available at Ober Mörisegg. Smoking is not permitted in the barrel – smokers are asked to go outside. A viewpoint with benches and a typical Emmental lime tree is just a few minutes' walk away (e.g. for a marriage proposal). The Fass is not suitable for children under 4 years of age due to the electric fence around it and the steep stairs. The fresh spring water from the farm well (own source) is a special treat. Tip: Bring empty water bottles with you. Location & how to get there The Fass is located above the farm in a pasture among trees and can be reached on foot. It is 40 meters from the farm. From time to time, there are herds of cows or goats in the pasture. But what could be more wonderful than falling asleep to the sound of cowbells? It's as idyllic as in Heidi, and you can enjoy the sunset and the view over the Emmental. If you are arriving by car, you can park at the Ober Mörisegg farm. On request, the hosts will pick guests up at Zollbrück train station. The farm is a 1.5-hour walk from Zollbrück train station. Or you can take a wonderful 1.5-hour hike from Lüderenalp towards Zollbrück.

Herb walks
The farm is a very convenient starting point for short or long hikes. On several dates from May to August, the farmer's wife, Regula Gerber, will accompany you on a 2.5-hour hike through the hilly landscape of the Emmental, where you will explore wild herbs and learn about their properties and effects.

At the Ober Mörisegg farm, you also have the option of spending your vacation in the farmhouse.
